Daryl Morse founded ReStart Augusta to give beds to children, families, and veterans who do not have furniture. His goal to provide them with a sense of comfort, rest, and peace by creating cost efficient, sturdy, and comfortable beds from scratch.

After discovering that he and his friends could create a complete bed frame for about $75, they began collecting donations for hardware supplies and bedding. ReStart Augusta works closely with the Augusta Warrior Project, local churches, caseworkers, and other support groups.

Once a need for bedding has been identified, volunteers deliver the beds and set them up. Since 2014, Daryl and his team have made and delivered over 1,500 beds in the Augusta area.
